THE OCDLA

The Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (OCDLA) is the oldest private group that is exclusively dedicated to assisting attorneys in the defense of their clients charged with criminal offenses. The OCDLA mails The Gauntlet to over five hundred (500) OCDLA members, law schools and law libraries and sponsors or co-sponsors many CLE programs each year. Members are networked through the OCDLA Chat Room and receive almost instantaneous response on critical issues posted daily.

Article II - Purpose

To protect and insure by rule of law those individual rights guaranteed by the Oklahoma and Federal Constitution in criminal cases; to resist any efforts to curtail these rights; to encourage cooperation between lawyers engaged in the furtherance of these objectives through educational programs and other assistance; and through this cooperation, education and assistance to promote justice and the common good.  Provided, however, that the Association shall restrict any lobbying activity to be solely incidental to those hereinbefore expressed purposes.
